It’s that time again for our 76th year for the Freeport Host Lion’s Club Fishin’ Fiesta Tournament & BBQ Cook Off. We are excited and want all of you to be a part of it with us.
Your company’s sponsorship to the Fishin’ Fiesta is a tax write-off, as the Freeport Host Lions Foundation is a non-profit organization.
This is our tax ID# 87-2630299 and please make checks payable to: District 2S4 Lions Charities/FHLC.
Where does your donation go? The Freeport Host Lions Foundation supports the following:
- Brazosport Food Pantry/ Brazosport Cares
- Salvation Army
- Junior Achievement
- Actions (provides meals to homebound residents)
- Texas Lions Camp for physically challenged kids (Brazoria County Lions sponsor an average of 30 – 40 kids each year to the camp in Kerrville, Texas). The week at the camp costs the families and kids nothing as the Lions of Texas underwrites the entire cost of the camp.
- We also provide 2 scholarships to Brazosport College and
- 2 scholarships for the students at Brazosport High School.
These are just a few of the 30 plus groups we try to support each year. In addition to the Fireworks on Saturday, July 1st at 9:00 pm, we will have a variety of activities along with food trucks and booths.
